Matthew 18:15-17 (King James Version)

But everyone knows the KJV is the anti-NTCC Version.

Matthew 18:15-17 (King James Version - the mandatory harmony and reconciliation Bible)
...Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (King James Version)

Proverbs 6:16-19 (King James Version - the straight-talk Bible)...These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Proverbs 31:10-28 (King James Version)

Proverbs 31:10-28 (King James Version - the pro-working-woman Bible)...Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

The Vasectomy Policy's Effects on One Family (originally posted 2/2/2010)...

No good reason.

Wahiawa, Hawaii - 1982

RW came to Hawaii for a visit, bringing along a couple other people. Right now I can't remember who accompanied him, but they were on their way to the Philippines. It was during this visit that RW broached the subject of Ministers getting a vasectomy. I believe there were a couple of ministers who recently had this procedure done. RW was teasing one of them about what had happened. While RW was talking, I heard my name mentioned and these words, "Well Deb doesn't want any kids". I later approached Rick and asked him why I was mentioned? When Rick told me about the conversation, and he mentioned "vasectomy" I didn't know what the word meant. Then he explained what the procedure was.

Before Rick and I got married I told him I didn't want children, and if we did.... I wanted to wait for a long time. Later on when RW began preaching against having kids in the ministry, I became more against it. During the time it was being preached there were some ladies who were pregnant (Diana Taylor and Mary Gesang). It was preached at Conferences that certain women were going to be judged and answer to God, for ruining their husband's ministry. The ladies were terrified, living under this condemnation. Other women who become pregnant during the '80's were fearful of telling RW. Instead of this being a joyous time they were crying, and the husbands were upset at what they were going to hear from the Leadership. A pregnant director's wife in the Servicemen's home was a no-no (because you're destroying the work). It was easier to move you around if you didn't have any kids. I felt terrible for my friend (and others) who had to go through this.

During RW's stay the vasectomy issue was brought up a few more times. So the seed had been planted in our minds. RW may say "I didn't make you do it", but the power of suggestion coming from such a man held power. Since we were young and impressionable he could merely suggest something and we'd all comply. He'd say I'd like to have this, and how many husbands would rush out and buy it for him? He himself said he stopped saying he liked this or that, cause he knew the next day someone would buy it for him. Everyone wanted to please him, isn't this what we were taught, to take care of the man of God? I know it will be said "You did this, you take the responsibility for what you did, don't put the blame on Pastor Davis". Yes, I accept the responsibility that we did it, and my response to you is this wouldn't have even happened if RW had not brought up this topic, had not made this policy.

Rick and I had been married for 4 years by this time, and the thought of having a vasectomy had never entered our minds. After the topic was brought up I now had some stupid excuses why it would be great if Rick got the vasectomy, but none were serious enough for him to take that next big step. But, we talked about it and eventually decided to do it, or I should say Rick was the one who went under the knife. Sometime later (I don't remember the year) RW and family came to Hawaii on their way to the Philippines. They left Tanya in our charge, and would pick her up on their return flight to Washington State. At this time we had our hands full with a house full of servicemen, and two young women who were unabashed flirts. Tanya was dating MC Kekel at the time but you'd never know it, the way she acted around the guys.

Rick asked Tanya when Mike was going to get a vasectomy? Tanya's reply was Mike wasn't getting one. When Rick asked why not she replied, "It's different when it's your own kid (RW Davis kid)". This blew Rick's mind (as it should have), and he couldn't believe what he was hearing! He was furious (understandably). He fought this battle till the day he left the Organization. When he told me I also couldn't believe it. What could I say, the damage had been done. I told him well maybe we could adopt when we decide to start a family. We looked into adopting while in the Philippines but it was too costly, and the laws had changed. We had even looked into it while we were visiting in Korea, and their laws had just changed. His vasectomy could not be reversed because of the way the procedure was done to make it more effective.

Every so often RW would make a remark about saving things for his "grandson" in front of Rick. This caused him such terrible anguish that he'd cry. It got to the point that Rick would step out of the room whenever the conversation about having a grandson would come up.

The Straw that broke the camel's back:

The news about Tanya's pregnancy caused a wave of baby fever throughout the Organization. Many ladies followed suit and became pregnant. All of a sudden it was okay, there was no preaching against women having babies. But to those in Servicemen's work it was still not looked upon favorably. To those who had gotten snipped it was no longer an option. If the Servicemen's Director's wife became pregnant she was considered damage goods, now she couldn't do her work, and now there was a child to pay attention to. How could you destroy the work! Childless couples could easily be moved, but a couple with kids was better off in a civilian church. In the early years they had no choice but to use Servicemen's Directors with children. As the bible school grew now they could take them out and replace them.

While in Okinawa, we received a card from Tanya. When Rick opened the card and read it he came undone! It was Grant's birth announcement! I arrived home from grocery shopping to find him weeping in our bedroom. I thought someone in his family died, I was shook up. He handed me the card and said "How could they do this knowing how I feel about it!?" He said "Am I just supposed to overlook this and be happy for them!?" I tried my best to console him, but to no avail. He was the only one who could work through his conflicting emotions. I told him to talk to Pastor, tell him just how you feel, and he can help you through this. Am I right wives? Isn't this what you would have told your husband? But, Rick wasn't keen to the idea; he said it won't do any good. I thought surely the man of God (RW) will have compassion and give him words of comfort. I was at my wits end because I didn't know how to help him, except by praying for him.

Well, the opportunity came, when RW and some ministers came for an Asian Conference in Okinawa. It was after Conference was over and they'd be leaving on Monday. I told Rick let's talk to Pastor about this, since he's here; he'll understand, and he can help you through this.....BOY WAS I EVER WRONG! Our confidence in RW was shattered that day. A lamb was wounded, literally crying out for help, and he further harmed it by his words.

When Rick told him why we were there and that he was having a problem about the vasectomy issue, RW's reaction was so quick, so aggressive, that it stunned us. He raised his voice and said "I didn't make you do it; Deb said she didn't want kids, you and her made that decision!" I guess our reaction to his outburst showed on our faces, because RW caught himself and lowered the tone of his voice. Rick didn't go any further, and covered up his emotions by changing the subject. But I knew this was the end of the relationship between them. RW was like a father to him, he'd been a mentor to Rick since Rick was 12, and Rick was in his 30's by this time. Instead of getting help all he got was a loud, boisterous, condescending voice aggressively coming at him.

When we got home Rick said to me "I told you so! (as he should have)" If you can't go to your Pastor, who is the caretaker of your soul, then who else can you turn to? Wouldn't it have been easier for RW to say "I'm sorry this has caused you so much pain; let me help you through this". Why didn't RW own up to his mistake, or was this a trial-run of how to get people to do what you want? Over the years I have seen patterns in RW’s conduct that have negatively affected people's lives. Whatever RW is doing always has a domino effect. Rick started introducing the vasectomy subject to others. I was furious, and told him why are you mentioning this? It will cause too many problems, just leave it alone. As the years passed Rick became more bitter and wanted nothing to do with Graham, Washington. He hung out with them only when he had to. But his heart was not there anymore.

The Rule was no children under the age of 16 could stay on the Campground:

There was also another rule for smaller children, they could not attend the services because of the lakes (they didn't want any small kids drowning). After Tanya had Grant he could not stay on the Camp, so they stayed up the road at "Hannah's Pig Farm". Many people went up there to see the baby, including myself. I was asked if I had gone yet, and I said I would, so as not to be conspicuous. I was hesitant about going, because of what happened to Rick. It was mentioned at the “Lodge”, to the folks staying there, not to talk about Grant in front of Rick. After Rick left the Organization the rules changed. All of a sudden it was okay for Grant (still underage) to stay on the Campground. Yet, this rule was still in effect for everyone else’s family (no children under 16 allowed to stay on the Campground).

I told you various people get special privileges, when it's family the rules change for them. RW often said he made the rules and he can change them. It's so sad that so many times it caused battles for people. But their answer to people having battles over certain issues is "They that love the law of the Lord nothing shall offend them" or “If you don't like it there's the door.”

I understand Former Lay Pastor but with me it has nothing to do with venting or ranting. When I talk to exNTCCers, "yes" but when I type on these blogs, absolutely "no". As I've stated all along I have an agenda which is to try and show current NTCCers that there is a better way and that the NTCC leadership is seriously corrupt. It's hard to see that when you are in and if it weren't for factnet I still wouldn't see it as clearly as I do now. The NTCC is totally corrupt with double standards, favoritism, nepotism, greed, excesses, narcissistic leaders, false teachings, widespread abuses, leadership motivated divorces, cult practices such as policies concerning vasectomies, etc. The NTCC is by far the most totally messed up church that I've ever seen. The sickest part to me is that I was a part of it for years.

Now I've spent years trying to convince others to leave or never get involved with the NTCC in the first place and I've been successful and I plan to keep doing it. It has nothing to with anger, bitterness, or me having to get past anything. Jesus preached at the pharisees for years did he not? God started with the Bible and didn't stop reproving mankind for millenniums, did he not? Is God bitter at mankind? Was Jesus angry with the religious hypocrites? Most definitely but he didn't run around and preach simply out of anger. Yes he was angry and rightfully so but he had an agenda and so do I. The NTCC leaderships agenda is to get as many young, impressionable, moneymaking GI's away and alienated from their families and in lock step with their abusive rules. The NTCC want to control these guys and gals and when they control them they gain control of there money and RWD has taught that all along and I'm trying to put a stop to it because I was a GI for twenty years and I like GIs and the "LAST" thing they need spiritually or otherwise is the NTCC.

Well said Vic,

Currently, anger at Obama has created the Tea Party movement and created a "Conservative Ascendancy" as Limbaugh says.

Speaking of Limbaugh, Does anyone know what 'Ol Perezbaugh is doing these days?

Anger is a powerful force when multiplied by many people being angry at the same thing.

The silence of MCK and NTCC is deafening.

the more that exntccer's come out and voice there stories, there opinions. there own views.

That takes power away from ntcc. They can not blindly brainwash young GI's,Marine's,Sailors,Airmen and women! Because many of us out are still living around those military installations. And can share the TRUTH with these military members.

Ntcc does not have there market all sewed up. And noboyd can't touch them. Guess what mikey and tanya. Your on your way out. And the truth is on it's way in!!

Yes. I hope that was shared in love. It saddens me to think what all of us have been missing all these years, just so r.w. davis and his cohorts could glide around in their cadillacs glibly proclaiming "It is different when it is your family."

And that is the problem here.

Special treatment for r.w. davis and his chosen few nepotistic cohorts.

Special rules and total disregard of rules for r.w. davis and his....

And mandatory, arbitrary, non-sensical rules imposed on the masses whose blood and sacrifices have purchased the 'good life' r.w. davis and his.

I hate to think what this prayer will bring upon them, but:

MAY GOD REQUIRE IT OF YOU.

As Isaiah interceded against them, FATHER, FORGIVE THEM NOT.

If you have ever known me, as the many brothers and sisters who were at Ft. Bragg with us do, you have to know there has been great trauma inflicted upon me by ntcc to bring such an one as I, and I am small, to such a desperate plea. But God knows.

Sigh,

Once again I have read, word for word everything that has been written. The way business is done at New Testament Christian Churches Inc. is putrid, as well as despicable. I've heard a lot of things about Rick Blumenthal as I had indicated in one of my other posts. But after reading this I understand more about why his attitude was the way it was. Whether you all wanted children or not is really none of anybody's business, especially the churches.

Coincidentally, I have a friend who was a Jehovah's Witness for 20+ years. I told him about what happened at New Testament Christian Church and all he could do was chuckle and tell me how that the Jehovah's Witnesses tried to push the same thing in the organization many years ago because they felt that Armageddon was so close that children would be a “hindrance” to the Ministry and that they would just be an added burden for the troubles to come. What eventually happened was some of the leadership began to have children and after that, well, I'm sure you get the gist of the rest of the story.

I can understand Rick's anger, as well as his bitterness. If Mike Kekel has so much as a shred of decency I would hope that he would at least have some sympathy on Rick Blumenthal. I know that if I was in his position in the ministry I would feel badly for the man even if I knew it wasn't my fault directly. Just the idea of the favoritism I know would bother me for sure. I don't buy into the idea that Mike does not read any of the things that are going on concerning the blog sites that stand squarely against New Testament Christian churches Inc. I just don't buy it.

What I'm waiting for is to see if Grant goes to Bible school or not. If he doesn't, I wonder if he will have a prophecy aimed against him like I did me by RWD.

I want to say some other things at this point and time But I don't want to inflame the situation any more than it already is. I'm just waiting to see what happens with grant and NTCC Seminary/Bible College.

It will also be interesting to see if Grant marries within the org, like we were expected to do. My prediction is that he will go to an expensive Ivy League college, like his prep school peers, and marry someone unconnected with NTCC. I hope he sees through all the crap.

I will be shocked if Grant goes to ntcc bible school. I'm sure he will be accepted into an accredited college somewhere far away.

Oh come on! You know widdle Grant-O won't be going to NTCC's B.S.!!!!

He's got all that money at his disposal. They won't throw it away. He's going to secular school for sure. They won't leave him hanging out in the breeze with no schooling to take care of himself!

Look at everything else they did for him and because of him. It's all about Grant.

Every ntcc rule has changed to make Grant's life perfect.

If they could have kept it secret, Grant getting special treatment and special privileges, then the rules for you would not have changed and you would continue to suffer like dumb animals.

But since folks started leaking the truth on the internet, then the walls had to come down and bit by grudging bit the rules have been relaxed for you.

Make no mistake, NTCC exists for the sole purpose of making a name for Davis and now that he's old he needs an heir. Period.

You were just food for the machine. Just there to keep everything going until Grant is old enough to take it all over.

Even though NTCC despised you and threw you away, God is not unrighteous. He will reward your work.

But don't kid yourself. NTCC doesn't care about God or anyone or anything except making themselves rich and lining their pockets. They are covetous, greedy, scheming nepotists who have always sought to take care of their own no matter the cost to you. God will 'reward' them too.

Enjoy the music and think about it.

Deb, I'm still working through reading your blog. Rather than read it post after post like a novel, I'm trying to read and absorb fully what you've shared. This post has especially evoked many memories of our time in the Philippines together when you and Rick were pastoring.

I can't tell you what it means to me to get this insight into what was going on for you and your husband during that time.

Having had the Ashmores and the Keys as pastors, I had quite a lot of confusion over what was acceptable and what wasn't. I remember the Keys telling me that if I wanted to be involved in the ministry that having children would be a burden and that it was not encouraged.

Your story reminded me of how that I went to Rick and asked him one afternoon about having children. Brian and I wanted to have children, but as my biological clock was ticking away, I didn't want to wait too much longer to begin having a family. I think his advice was quite sound in that he didn't tell us what to do. He told us that a Christian should be able to serve God with or without children. My heart is really grieved for his former self and for the fact that neither of you found comfort or compassion from the alleged man of God and minister of the gospel.

When I told Tanya more than a handful of years ago about that conversation with Rick, she told me that he gave us wrong advice. Of course her opinion fell on my ears sort of flat, as I knew that she had no restraints on whether or not she should have a child. She’s never had to travel around as a family unit and experience what all of us had to endure at the hands of her father as our fearless leader. She and her husband have always enjoyed an unlimited ability to earn and spend their money according to their own free will and desires…something denied the rest of us.

And as has been recorded countless times, things absolutely changed in the Organization to suit Tanya and her son. Changes which the rest of us schmucks (I just love that word…it says so much wrapped up in a neat 8 letter package) were not able to partake of. I speak from close experience, as my youngest is 8 months older than Grant. When I arrived in Graham for Bible College, Tanya was a couple of months pregnant. We all witnessed the blatant inequities flaunted in front of all of us and most importantly, our children. Grant was allowed to have as many children as he pleased attend his birthday parties and he was allowed to participate in sports, and he was allowed to fly off on jaunty little trips to Legoland and Disney and he was allowed to watch shows on his computer, etc, etc….

I hope things are different now for families in NTCC, but even all of the little esoteric changes does NOT change the fact that people were sent to Hell from over the pulpit for engaging in the activities that now seem to be sort of alright in NTCC. And for those of us who were around when the whole Vasectomy Doctrine was in place…we need to remind people often that Davis is a liar who has masqueraded as the Manifest Mouth of God (more like the Mouth of Sauron from the Lord of the Rings) (http://www.youtube.com/watchv=xrLizclY8nU )…but who is nothing more than a scheister.

Remember when I got to WA. Grant was three-four years old. I usually helped in the nursery. But I was pulled to help in the toddler class. Before the children church became a bigger thrust for rw.
He was sitting off by himself. (grant) pouting, not partcipating in class. What did the class teachers do. Nothing. Because there hands were tied. He could do ANYTHING he wanted and get away with it. He knew at that age,and he knows it now!
He really is a SPOILED,RICH,BRAT!

Ntcc ruined our live's. But unless Grant leave's and goes off on his own. They have ruined his. You can be rich, but NOT FREE!
Unless he knows everything that ntcc is really all about. And is fine with it. It has fed,and kept him living the fancy lifestyle. So maybe he will stay and continue to fleece the flock. Then toss folks aside, like a piece of trash when not needed! Wait and see!

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT...

When Grant was three or four... got me thinking about a story verna shared with me at The Lodge. tanya had a huge birthday party for grant. All the kids were invited. He got a ton of presents.

...I bet people spent more on those brand new presents for grant-o than they did on the kook-store junk they bought their own kids...

But even though grant had all these presents, he got mad at one other little boy who came up and started playing with one of grant's new toys. grant grabbed the toy back and told the other boy,

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!"

Then grant went over to a pretty little girl and offered to let her play with one of his toys...

I remember mUck, grant's daddy teaching about not letting another brother drink your milk in the dorms. He said you should tell him:

"NO! GO BUY YOUR OWN!"

But I bet he used a very different tone and approach when dating teenya, "Is there anything I can get you BeBe?" schmooze, schmooze, [oohh just look at those gazumbahs in that too tight see-through blouse. Can't wait to get a hold of that!]

And we all know he didn't wait.

Back to grant-o:

It's amazing how early covetousness and greed sets into a person's life.

Bet he was a real fan of Pokemon --

"GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!"

I think that's how his parents, mikey and tanny, and his grandparents the davis's really see souls:

To rdub and mUck, you are just objects like little pocket monsters to be kept in that little globe until the master (rdub or mUck) decides to use you.

And if you get destroyed, oh well. Here comes a fresh sucka, uh, replacement.

"GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!"

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!"

...What's yours is MINE.

And what's MINE is MINE.

SO...

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!"

I remember him preaching about doing this to a brother in the "Crete" dorm in St. Louis. They all put name labels on their food and there was no cooperation or sharing. A real loving environment. Part of it was that they kept us so broke that we all had to scrape by just to survive, and I guess some people got real proprietary about their milk. It's typical of the NTCC attitude that the poor are just a bunch of slackers and leeches who deserve their lot, and that to help them is to interfere with the divine punishment they're enduring. They've elevated despising the poor into a form of art.

Can you imagine what ntcc would say about Ezekiel?!? (Ezekiel chap. 4)

"Why doesn't he just GET A JOB!"

"What a SLUG!"

"LAZY SLOTH!"

"Look at him eatin' that same old weird bread cooked over the cow dung. Nobody in his right mind would eat something like that! He's mentally ill."

"If he's crazy it must be JUDGMENT FROM GOD ON HIM FOR SINNING!"

"He should sign up for welfare and stand in line at the soup kitchen!"

to which davis would say, as he has in the past:

"I wouldn't put my god in a welfare line." -- r.w. davis

Nope. rdub wouldn't. Because satan is too proud to wait in line for welfare.

OR, How about Isaiah? (ch.20)

I can imagine how ntcc would spin this, based on my nine year tenure with ntcc:

"There goes ol' nutty Isaiah; butt naked with his n*ts hangin' out!"

"God wouldn't tell a man of Gawd to do something like that."

Well, He did. It's in the Bible.

But God allowed these prophets to suffer utter degradation as a sign of the upcoming judgment of captivity that people would endure if they chose not to heed the sign and repent.

Sounds like ntcc.

What a heart touching story. I have only heard of the name "Blumenthal". I heard he was a good preacher. I've been a member of New Testament for over 15 years but have never gone to bible college. I have had my "ups and downs and ins and outs" through these years. But all of the problems I have faced were of my own doing usually and I cannot blame any of the pastors or licensed ministers for my woes.
But really I have no woes now. I try to live for God and be a helpful part at my local church. I don't have any ambition towards doing a mighty work for God really. But I am thankful that I am learning to do a steady work for Him. My wavering in the Lords service has steadied and I thank God for it.
I've read so much if not all of the former ministers truly heart felt comments. And I cannot deny their stories as being true. The majority of them are true it seems. I have witnessed pastor Davis' gruffness in the past. But I know that he is just the guy that happened to start the movement that is NTCC. I know also that many here had more personal relationships with pastor Davis than others. I am sorry for the pain my brethren. And If it would help, I wish pastor could issue some sort of video msg to "whosoever will" apologizing for a seemingly callous, haughty spirit at times. I truly wish that we all could be back together worshipping the Lord. Even the folks at House of Prayer, whom a few of the members I know and love and my first pastor, pastor Bradeen, who broke my heart when I heard of his leaving. (Why not pray for those in sin?)

But alas we humans are not perfect and neither do we serve the Lord in perfection. But we still strive to do so. Pastor Davis is not perfect. But every time he visits our church here, I want to go up to him and tell him thanks for his work he did in the early years. I wanna tell him thanks for pushing on through difficult times that I know nothing about. I am a christian today because of him I believe. He showed people that they needed to do something about what they believed about God. I don't see anybody else doing it today but the JW's. I thank God for a church that will get behind me and kick me in the rear when I start getting lazy or just start losing interest. I had always been a quitter but I Thank God He (through the perseverance of saints at NTCC) never has given up hope on this poor loser and fool He so graciously saved some 17 years ago.

I will give a little background about myself since I am on the positive side of the NTCC "fence."
I was a smoker and cursed alot. I wore alot of makeup, jeans, tank tops, and would snap on you in 1.5 seconds if I didn't like what you had to say or if I didn't like you looking at me. WOW! I know right! I can read your minds after reading that. Since I have been pastored by Pastor Hasty I do not smoke, wear makeup, wear jeans nor tank tops, cuss,or snap at people. Did he "brainwash" me? No. Did he "bash" me until I caved in and gave up? No. Does he "dry up" my bank account? No. Does he "call me out?" No. Does he act like he is better than anyone else? No.
He simply said straight up that in the Bible it said to be modest. His Biblical modest says not to tempt or attract the opposite sex. So if short skirts and half shirts are going to tempt and/or attract the opposite sex(or even the same sex these days-YUCK!) then don't wear it. He didn't demand I wear what he wants me to wear. He said in due time I will learn to understand what biblical modest is and I will transform in my own time as GOD works with me on the matter(s).
As for my cussing and smoking again,he said I will stop when the time is right because GOD will be working on me. He didn't pound it into me that I am such a huge sinner and he didn't grind my face in the dirt because I wasn't a Christian when I walked through the door.

"Anyone who would like to renew their membership at NTCC and live in the Louisville,KY area should consider T.P. Hasty as your pastor. Fresh starts are always best for everyone."

It will be a mistake to judge NTCC by Bro. Hasty's example. He's way too good for them. I'm glad your experience has been positive, but keep your eyes open and think long and hard before allowing yourself to be railroaded into the "seminary." That's where the real control starts up.

You will be hard pressed to find anyone who has escaped that is willing to go back. That would be similar to the biblical analogy of a dog returning to its vomit. Do yourself a favor and research this group before you commit too heavily. That's some advice I wish I had received early on.
